The software tycoon John McAfee has entered the United States after deportation of Guatemala.
He landed in Miami, after being escorted to the airport in Guatemala City and on board an American Airlines flight.
Mr. McAfee said earlier that he was "very pleased with the decision."
He was arrested a week ago after fleeing from Belize, where he is wanted in connection with the murder of a neighbor.
The 67-year-old has been more than a month on the run with his girlfriend, blogging about his exploits. When he left Guatemala City, said Mr. McAfee he was happy to go home.
A spokesman for Miami International Airport said that he would be guided by the federal government after clearing customs. It was not immediately clear where he was going, or what was his legal status.

In an interview with Bloomberg Television for his departure, said Mr. McAfee he apologized to Guatemalan President to put him in an awkward position when negotiating a territorial dispute with Belize.
His lawyers blocked an extradition request from Belize, where he was named a "person of interest" in the murder of Florida businessman Gregory Faull.
Mr. McAfee said he is happy to talk Belize police, but did not want to be sent back to their care.
After making his fortune in the anti-virus software that bears his name, lived Mr. McAfee an eccentric life, finance startups, small aircraft flying low over the desert, and later a trial of antibiotic synthesis jungle plants in Belize.
