Oldest person of world dies at age 116 year

Sidney Cooper, 77, said his mother was a strong, determined woman who, like the teacher she was, could have been a schoolmaster. She was honest and sincere, he said, but "when she said something had to be done, you can do better."
Besse Cooper was born in Sullivan County, Tennessee, 26 august 1896th She began going to school at the age of 5 - yes, they ran a log cabin - to ensure that one of her brothers lived. They came to love going to class and eventually went to East Tennessee Normal School (now East Tennessee State University) in Johnson City for training study.

Her vision was impaired, though, and they do not read the Bible or any of the great works of fiction. Apart from a few heart problems, she was "amazing" health, her son said, adding that she never complained about pain, even in her last days.
Besse Cooper got the honor of being the oldest living man by Guinness World Records in January 2011.
She recently moved to second on the list when the record keepers a woman in Brazil was 48 days older found, but Maria Gomes Valentim died in June 2011, just weeks before her 115: e birthday.
The oldest person who ever lived, according to Guinness World Records, was Jeanne Louise Calment. She died in the south of France in 1997 at the age of 122nd
